Abstract

In this study, which is applied to 37 footballer candidates who attended the summer football school that Galatasaray Sports Club opened in Niğde for the football skill to develop, the effects of a 16-week football skill training on the footballers’ physical, motor, physiological and skill development are examined.

Measurements on the subjects’ heights, weights, aerobic and anaerobic endurances, sit-up and push-up leg strengths, balance, flexibility, kick to 30 meters, slalom with ball, bouncing ball on the head, and bouncing ball on the foot are performed in the study.

When the pre-test and last test values of the 16-week sports training program are compared, it is seen that statistically there is a significant difference between height, anaerobic endurance, and sit-up, push-up, balance and 30 meters values (p<0.01). Statistically, a significant difference of 0.05-level is found in the weight and aerobic strength values.
