Domestic violence towards women: Denizli case study

Abstract

Violence is a subject that has gained importance recently. There is closely connection between the actions accepted as a violence in a society and the structure of the society.

Violence is a multidimensional event and it is classified in various forms. Violence can be dealth wıth by means of different approaches.

The subject watter of the study conduced in Denizli province is violence against women. Thus 593 of 19734 household in 10 neighborhoods were selected as sample of the study.

 According to the study done on the violence directed to women in the quarters of central district of Denizli city, there has been violence in almost the half of the people induded in the sample.
