Abstract

A pomegranate whose agriculture is done at the history and the oldest fruit which is grown since the old time. İt  is a symbol for   health, wealth and fertility  in many   civilizations. A pomegranate which is known “the paradise’s fruit”, is a Mediterranean fruit. There are holy meanıngs by the well known religions. The subject has become to Grek legends at her mythology. At the hıstorıc process, the pomegranate has been used as motif in every area of the decoration art. The pomegranate motif is not the only simple motif at the textile design. İt brought glorious richness coming from legends to the Turkısh  fabrics.
