Abstract

 

This study aims to analyse the opinions and attitudes of the Turkish primary school teachers about the EU Membership of Turkey. Also, the correlation between social-psychological backgrounds of the Turkish primary school teachers and their opinion on the issue were analysed within the study.

 

A comherensive field reserarch realised to achieve the aim. A questionnaire form was developed and used for the interviews. There were structured, semi structured and open-ended questions in the questionnaire. A data sets was created from the data that were gathered from the field. The computer program of the SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences) was used for analysing the data sets.

D. Ali Arslan, Mersin University, Department of Sociology

  Sosyolog ve siyaset bilimci. İngiltere’de “University of Surrey” de, Sosyal bilimler metodolojisi alanında yüksek lisans (MSc.) ve yine aynı üniversitede, siyaset sosyolojisi alanında doktora (PhD) yaptı. Sosyolojinin değişik dallarında çok sayıda akademik çalışması bulunan araştırmacı Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi’nde dekan yardımcısı, orta öğretim sosyal alanlar eğitimi bölüm başkanlığı görevlerinde bulundu. Halen, Mersin Üniversitesi, Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi, Sosyoloji bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.
