Abstract

Bilgi sosyolojisi, çeşitli sistemlere uygulandığında göstermektedir ki, aynı fenomenin alternatif açıklamaları mümkündür ve mevcut herhangi bir problemin komple olarak anlaşılmasını kolaylaştırmaktadır. Çok yönlü açıklama yapmak bilgi sosyolojisinin amacı olmamakla beraber, teori ve metotları, ilgilenilen herhangi bir fenomene mükemmel bir şekilde uymaktadır. Konu ile ilgili tüm değişkenler, ölçüler, alternatifler, birlikte değerlendirilebilmektedir. Bu bakımdan bilgi sosyolojisi aynı zamanda ampirik, pragmatik, fonksiyonalist gibi tüm ekol ve metotlar tarafından kolaylıkla kullanılabilmektedir.
